To serve as primary support for the companys accounting processes. To develop, implement and/or maintain one or a combination of general accounting systems. Serves as the main contact for all Accounts Payable functions. Prepares journal entries, reconciles ledger accounts. Provides record of assets, liabilities and other financial transactions. Provides and runs a variety of reports as necessary for Controller and department.

  • Accounts payable management including coordinating approval, entry, and payment of invoices in a timely manner.
  • Responding to inquiries from management and department head regarding expenses, budgets etc.
  • Serves as a backup payroll processor in absence of Payroll Specialist.
  • Journal entry preparation, account reconciliations and analysis.
  • Reviewing periodically during the month the general ledger for input accuracy and verifying that accounts have been reviewed for content.
  • Assist Controller with preparation of financial statements as needed.
  • Supporting financial audits
  • Comply with organizations internal policies and procedures, Code of Conduct, Compliance Plan, along with applicable Federal, State, and local regulations.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • A solid understanding of GAAP, accounting policies, practices and systems.
  • Proficiency in MS office suite with advanced excel skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A minimum 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.
  • 2-year degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience.


Typical office environment requiring standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting up to 25 pounds. May be exposed to patient and environment conditions such as unpleasant sights, smells and contagious diseases.
