The Tuck School's academic operations team administers the many processes, systems, and resources that support our world-class faculty in their teaching and research. Within the portfolio of services this team provides, our next academic operations manager will focus on faculty recruitment, hiring, and onboarding; the logistical planning and delivery of recruiting and research seminars and conferences (approximately 80 to 90 seminars and conferences anticipated for the 2019-20 academic year); and, in collaboration with the registrar and others, the scheduling of classrooms for teaching courses in the MBA curriculum. This role is ideally suited for an outstanding administrator who loves optimizing complex work flows and exceeding the high expectations of demanding internal clients. Position Purpose

Manages operational and administrative processes, systems, and other activities, primarily associated with faculty recruiting, hiring, and onboarding; recruiting and research seminars and conferences; and MBA course classroom scheduling, according to Tuck's mission, strategy, and institutional priorities.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountabilities

1. Envisions, articulates, and implements plan for achieving goals, priorities, and service standards for a designated subset of academic operations processes, systems, and resources; engages with deans' office, faculty, and other professional staff colleagues to identify and surpass service challenges; evaluates progress using data analytics, particularly feedback from faculty; and updates goals, priorities, and service standards with direction from academic operations leadership. (5%)
2. Manages faculty recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes, including administration of the application system (Interfolio), placement of job postings, candidate travel, and communications with candidates and new hires (20%); plans and organizes recruitment and research seminars and conferences, including supply ordering, booking and confirming travel and lodging, catering and facilities arrangements, and preparation of seminar and conference materials (nametags, handouts, etc.) (30%); assists in staffing campus guests (greeting and escorting guests between locations, and refreshing classrooms and meeting rooms) (15%); prepares and enters expense reports, provides back-up guest services coordination at the Tuck Hall reception desk, and completes other tasks and assignments associated with achieving academic operations priorities (10%).
3. Contributes ideas, input, and support to initiatives, decisions, and communications with implications across the full scope of processes, systems, and resources provided to Tuck faculty. (5%)
4. Collaborates with Tuck and Dartmouth colleagues to organize, manage, and complete shared projects and assignments, particularly with the registrar, Events & Facilities, and IT in the scheduling of classrooms for MBA courses. (10%)
5. Gains knowledge of and shares insights into pertinent trends and innovations through peer school and other market research, participation in peer networks and associations, and attending conferences, seminars, and speaking engagements. (5%)
